Having just received my bata copy of GS-Basic I thought a few impressions were in order. For those of us used to APPLESOFT it has most of the text handling improvements and advances in basic there. IF THEN ELSE, DO WHILE UNTIL etc OPEN for read or write as a numbered file 6 only now later to be 255 so the manual says. Auto numbering indenting and a few others are right in the basic. The first real difficency was no direct access to the high res graphics your left to making the somewhat bewildering calls to the tool box. There is a LIBRARY function to help but even the manual says it's not for everyone and recommends you get a copy of the tool box referance manual Well that's a short first look I'ld like to hear from others.
