Basically, what need be enphasized is that there really is no encoding, par se. It is Pascal P-code. The character stats (and game serial number) are all on track 0 of the player side. All the wordings are scattered about the disk, most being toward the last tracks. Anyway, in terms of an editor, there are some. WIZEDIT is a good one for Wiz I & II. Wiz III's format is much different. There is a good editor out there circulating, called "The Complete Wizardry Editor" (or The Big 'M'), that edits ALL versions IN EVERY RESPECT (so, you wanted to invent your own weapons, eh?).
