[comp.sys.apple] music software?

I'm looking for music software for an Apple IIgs, primarily for
a ten year old who's had two years of piano and a few months of
violin.  The program should teach some theory, facilitate simple
composition, and whatever else might be feasible.  I'd be happy
to summarize to the net if there is a substantial response.
