[comp.sys.apple] Kermit 3.xx with Super Serial Card

SEWALL@UCONNVM.BITNET.UUCP (11/23/87)

When all else fails, read the documentation. Your Kermit is dead
because the Super Serial driver REQUIRES that the interrupts switch
on the card (SW2-6 as I recall, I haven't got my SSC manual at the
office) be ON (enabled). If the switch is off, your Kermit will
send but not receive.

BTW Kermit 3.xx works fine at 4800 but starts to lose characters
at 9600 because that exceeds the speed of the Apple 80 Col Card ROM
(Apple's card is pennywise and pound foolish -- it uses software
scrolling instead of, for only a few bucks more, hardware scrolling
which would have made writing commware MUCH easier).
