regarding Ram cards.... Applied's Ramworks for the //e and Z-Ram for the //c both offer print buffers for Appleworks. Does anyone know how this is done? But more importantly as I am looking into a GS, does this feature also come with GS Ram or with Ram Factor? I find print buffering, esp. with a time-shared Laserwriter, to be absolutely essential.

The RamWorks III manual states that a print buffer will be available on a ][e or ][gs. However, on a ][gs, the *size* of the print buffer can be selected up to 64K. Apparently, the ][gs control panel must be used to activate the print buffer (I have ][c and ][e but no ][gs). It is also stated that a print buffer will not be available with RamFactor (all this is actually from the AppleWorks 2 Expander v1.0 supplement to the RamWorks User's Manual). More recent versions of RamFactor may not have this constraint. ****DISCLAMER: My comments, etc., are my own shakey opinions ******** | Bruce P.
