[comp.sys.apple] BAS Uploads

SEWALL@UCONNVM.BITNET (12/20/87)

I got to looking at the BACKGAMMON program that was posted to
APPLE2-L. If it's downloaded as is it will NOT be possible to
simply EXEC it because the file is 80 columns wide but some of
the BAS lines were longer than that. Fortunately the software
that was used to ship the file to APPLE2-L "wrapped" the long
lines, but they have to be spliced (by hand, yucchh 8-( )
before downloading or before EXECing.

It would be nice, if contributors of BASic programs would
either do the program editing to make sure all the lines are
no more than 80 columns or use the EXECUTIONER to encrypt them
in 4byte.
