Due to the resent problems we have been having with arpanet and uucp mailers and postmasters bouncing mail to the list and thereby causing almost 10,000 files each time to be generated, I have changed the list to only allow my account to post. What does this mean? It means that any posts for the list will go directly to me and only I can post them. This allows me to "edit" what is going to be posted. The only difference will be that posts may take a little longer than normal to post because all posts will have to be posted manually. Also I have changed the subscription option to By_owner. This means that any requests to subscribe will be forwarded to me and I will have to do them manually. This also means it will take longer to get added to the list. Although this means that everything will be slower, it will allow me to control who is added and what is posted. This way we should never have any more problems with bouncing mail being sent to the list, etc. You can continue to send me posts and requests to be added but I won't be able to get to them until I get back in January. Chris P.S. What happened to the votes? If we don't find an arpanet peer site, I may just have to cut everyone on uucp sites. UUCP sites are just so much trouble!
