Hello.........
I'm going to buy a GS in March and I am now looking for software.
I am a first time Apple buyer and I have *ZIP* Apple software. I would like
to hear comments(good/bad) on some packages/vendors that look interesting.
My number one goal is for it to be attractive to my 1st grader. I want her
to feel comfortable and be self-motivated to "play" with it. A Secondary
use would be for me and the wife, which means, mostly, a decent word
processing program. Since I have NO experience with Apple or the software
houses that write programs for Apple, I would like to tap the nets wisdom
and experience. I should add that I'm ONLY interested in programs written
especially for the GS.
If you would share your experiences(good or bad) with the following
vendors and their packages, I would be forever in your debt.
Memory - 512K RamPak 4GS by Orange Micro
Paint Programs - 816/Paint by Baudville
Delux Paint II by Electronic Arts
The Activision group, which includes:
Paintworks Plus
Clip Art Gallery
Draw Plus
Writer's Choice Elite
Fantavision IIGS by Broderbund
The Styleware groug, which includes:
Top Draw
Multiscribe (I've seen this demo'ed- I was impressed)
Education - Clock Works by Minn. Educational Computer Corp.
Kidstime II by Great Wave Software
Math Blaster Plus by Davidson & Assoc.
Reader Rabbit by The Learning Co.
Thanks,
Larry Gillam
