In the January (I think) issue of Incider, there was a small note on how
to display $C1 pics from BASIC with the new GS ROMs. All you need to do
is "POKE 49205,0", and voila! it works. Ironically, I read this the
day after I found out my slide shows didn't work with the new ROM
upgrade. I put this command as the first one in my P8 startup file, and
the slide show now works fine. You could also probably put it in your
slide show basic program as well.

A small PD program called SHRConvert reads $c1, $c0, Macintosh, Atari SE, and standard Applee II pics, and converts them to the other formats, color included. I attempted to leave this in mail to whoever asked, but the mailer demon bounced me.
