[net.movies] Why the tube didn't burn up

This was kind of puzzling, but it seems I remember when the crew of the 
Grissom had just spotted the metal artifact on the surface of Genesis, either
the captain or David said something about "gravity was still in flux then...",
followed by the captain ordering the communications officer to report that 
Spock's burial tube had been found.  I guess this "flux" is supposed to have
cushioned the tube enough during reentry to keep it from burning up.  Well...
(But gee, the *paint* wasn't even obliterated!)

I think I also remember someone asking about why Klingons were using a Romulan
Bird-of-Prey.  Wasn't it the other way 'round?  I thought that back during the
series, the Romulans had bought Birds-of-Prey from the Klingons and painted 
them up with their colors.

Guess someone finally figured out how to sterilize tribbles...
