[net.movies] TEMPLE OF DOOM -- a PRO Review

moriarty@uw-june (Jeff Meyer) (06/03/84)

Exactly, Jerry, you've hit it on the head. "Temple of Doom" reminded me
very much of a (recent) James Bond movie, except that there was somewhat
more gore. It had that weak, rather watered-down feeling I got after about
the fourth in the series... like, "Oh, boy, here comes the next thing."
Everything seems a bit out-of-synch here, just as in Gremlins (perhaps it's
contagious). Still, not a terrible movie... I'd give it a C+.

"Aye, and if my grandmother had wheels, she'd have been a wagon...."

Better directors indeed, although not well known..aka Leonard Nimoy. Trek 3 mayhave been his first, but I'll bet it won't be his last....
