I am looking into expanding my current systems size from 50M to something larger. I am wary of doing this as backups take a long time w/floppies (I run a BBS too). I was looking into getting a Sider C46 or the standalone cartridge backup (I have a Sider ][ already) with a CMS drive. Can anyone give me feedback on the Sider C46 or the tape drive alone? Any suggestion? Thanks in advance. Bruce Kahn

I recently went through the same logic that you did about upgrading to the Sider C46. (I'm not into BBSs, however) So, I called the Sider people last Friday and they said "C46 is just coming out for the Mac, and it is not available for the II line." (or words to that effect). I inquired about their advertising policy since their ads clearly discuss the II line, but the conversation went downhill very quickly. I hear a lot of good about the Sider harddisks, but I am put off at this point and will stay with my current 40 MB systems and the hours needed to do a backup. An alternative seems to be the CMS systems. Discount prices on 60 MB and 80 MB around $1K and $1.2K; they don't solve the backup problem, however. Good luck, Bud
