I find that even on a macintosh, I spend too much time waiting for for the finder to load. However, the pulldown menus are extremly useful, not just for novices, but for users who don't use a product every day. Unix is hard to use because I forget the name of any command I rarely use. Pulldown menus and control key sequences make a great combination. With mousetext (or even without) and a mouse, you can create pulldown menus and windows on the text screen quick and without much memory and that even look pretty good. In light of the speed and memory capacity of ]['s, I think that the text screen is the place to be. -- Doug Reeder USENET: ...!tektronix!reed!douglas Box 502 Reed College 3203 S.E.
