[comp.sys.apple] How useful is the desktop?

	I find that even on a macintosh, I spend too much time waiting
for for the finder to load.  However, the pulldown menus are extremly
useful, not just for novices, but for users who don't use a product
every day.  Unix is hard to use because I forget the name of any command
I rarely use.  Pulldown menus and control key sequences make a great
combination.  With mousetext (or even without) and a mouse, you can 
create pulldown menus and windows on the text screen quick and without
much memory and that even look pretty good. In light of the speed and 
memory capacity of ]['s, I think that the text screen is the place to be.
