There was a problem with the TransWarp card and certain versions of the Checkmate AW expansion software. The Checkmate software decoded all of the softswitchs in the c07x range and thereby would mess up when you tried to change speeds on the TransWarp (there may have also been something like this in one of the PALs on the checkmate card). The problem could be solved by either getting a new version of software (from Checkmate) or by pulling pin 15 out of the socket on chip TW1x-x on the TransWarp (the value of 'x' doesn't matter). As for people that are using ModemWorks and the TransWarp, replacing the TW1x-x may solve the problem. I have heard of a couple of people that have had a problem like this, however I have not duplicated it (and I run a ProLine with a TransWarp, and TIC with a TransWarp) on my own systems. The TW1 chip replacement is a free chip swap from AE. Dale Therio Applied Engineering
