I need to set up a neurophysiology lab to replace a MINC system. I need at
least 16 channels of analog input with each channel to be sampled every 5 msec.
I need at least two digital to analog output channels and a clock. I want to
record single trial data for 100 sweeps of 200 timepoints per channel so I need
decent memory capacity to store this data before it is dumped to disk. Ease of
programming (maybe a software package) is also a consideration as is good
color graphics for visual displays. I am familiar with the Cyborg systems
but not much else for Apple systems. My cohorts think I should buy an IBM
based system but I am already familiar with Apples and wondered if a good
A/D system and software exists for the IIe or Mac computers.
Any experiences or assistance that you can offer would be greatly
appreciated. The MASSCOMP system I've been looking at is awfully expensive.
Thanks in advance for any help. C. Schlichting (Schlichting@NUSC.arpa)
