[comp.sys.apple] Current Z-Link

whitney@think.COM (David Whitney) (01/23/88)

I just got a note asking about the current version of Z-Link. Here's the deal:

I'm still weeding out bugs in the VT-100 emulation. That's nearly done with.
It currently does h19 (otherwise known as Heath and VT-52).
It WORKS on a //GS and //c using the internal serial port (tested on both).
It SHOULD work on a //GS using a Super Serial Card in slot 2 (not tested)
It SHOULD work on an enhanced 128k //e. (I haven't tested that, but Morgan
Davis is helping me out with it)

Currently handles XMODEM/Checksum and CRC, Ymodem CRC and Batch.
Split-screen chat mode. Working on the capture buffer (it works, but is
useless, 'cause it gets cleared out if you reboot ProDOS after quitting).
Can save and load the current terminal settings (baud rate, etc) and it
auto-loads a default setting file if it's present (Z.LINK.CONFIG).
Other niceties one would expect...

To come (as I have time):
Binary II transfer.
Kermit transfer.

I ask $25 for a copy. I first posted a while ago and received several nice
letters and no money. The version that will contain Binary II and Kermit
unfortunately will not be posted, but sent to people who pre-pay or who
have paid for the copy of Z-Link they currently have (currently NOBODY).

After I finish up VT-100 (which should be at the end of this all-nighter),
I'll post to Apple2-L and comp.sys.apple (as nobody has mailed me a direct
request NOT to post to comp.sys.apple).
