I am working on a program which will convert between Apple //+,c,e hi-res (and double-hires) and grey-shaded "printer graphics". (I don't know much about the //gs, so the other hires modes are sort of up in the air.) I plan to post it to the public domain on apple2-l@brownvm. I would, however, appreciate the following help: 1) Any suggestions on how to convert between color on the screen and grey shading (using characters, not dot-mtrx shading). That is, which characters to be used for what colors. Conversely, suggestions on how to interpert characters as colors would be a big help. (I have some ideas, of course, but I have little experience and could use lots of "expert advice"... :-]) 2) Pictures!! I am sadly lacking on both interesting apple hi-res (& DHR) pictures and "character grey shade" printer pictures. Send anything you think is interesting to the below address. Please pack apple type pictures using BLU, if possible. (Also, has anyone got any public domain Double Hi-Res utilities?? I'm sadly lacking here, too, as I recently upgraded to a //c from a ][+. ) Thanks in advance for any help! - Scott Logan I'm doing the work on: CHAA0024 @ DALAC.BITNET (please send here, if possible. SEND/FILE or its equiv. would be best for BITNET/EARN/etc people.) ------------------------------------------------------------------- | Stay alert! | The Computer is: Scott I.
