In a previous psting I mentioned that we are attempting to network a group of APPLE IIgs' at our college. I've received a number of good suggestions and would like to thank those of you who responded. I will post findings as soon as they are all in. Recently, we were treated to a demonstration of a system by CORVUS which appears to do the type of things we want, but are naturally suspicious of any and all vendor claims. Some people at our university have indicated problems with such things as the print spooler and the time required to load files with this system when it is in actual use. The vendor claims that he has this system working in a number of public schools (which we will visit), but it is clear that the needs in these school systems are different than ours (e.g. they usually have students using the same software at the same time while our students may be using many files at once). Our people have only used their CORVUS network with IBM compatible PC's. Does anyone out there have experience or know of any problems others have had networking GS's or other machines using CORVUS hardware? Please respond by E-Mail and I will summarize. Thanks in advance. Len Bliss Appalachian State University Boone, NC 28608 (704) 262 3103 blissl@ecsvax or blissl@ecsvax.bitnet
