[net.movies] Klingons

If I read one more article about the "klingons are different this
time" syndrome, I'm going scream (really loud). As has been pointed
out before, the Klingons have every right to look different in the
movies.

As a counter example, shall we look at the crew of the Enterprise in this
most recent movie?

We have: 1) Captian Kirk + Dr. McCoy. Both "normal" humans. 2) A man
with slightly slanted eyes, slightly darker skin, and a funny accent
(SULU!!). 3) We have two men who look almost exactly like Cpt. Kirk but
both speak with "funny" accents (Scott + Checkov). At the transporter, we
see Uhura, and lo and behold, she's BLACK. If we can have so MANY different
types of HUMANS, all from ONE PLANET, why can't Paramount have MANY
different types of Klingons in their movies????

Note: none of the preceding paragraph should in any way shape or form be
construed as a racial slur on anyone, it was only an example. I could just
as easily have chosen any crewman as the norm.....
