Is it really that difficult to by-pass the interrupt checking (as AE Pro is
able to do)?  I know that would mean (some) characters will get lost at 1200
baud or higer BUT most bbs's and even many mainframes have a "nulls" feature
(add nulls to ends of lines so that it's a few superfluous nulls that get lost
not the actual text) that make the whole interrupts (or polling) exercise
unnecessary.

At least some accelerators disable interrupts for a real SSC (even with the
proper switch on) and MANY of us own SSC clones of one sort or another that
don't support interrupts.  If you can't support the users who actually can
find their checkbooks, it's hard to maximize revenue on shareware.
