I'm sending this to the net as well as to Mr. Aehl just in case it doesn't get to him. In reference to the AE GS-Ram cards. Yes there has been a recent change (about 4 months ago). The GS-Ram card now is fully DMA compatible no matter how much memory you have on the card. It is the only card using 256k RAM chips that goes higher that 1 meg and is DMA compatible. The DMA compatiblility starts with Rev. C of the board. Upgrades from the Rev. A board are available for $48.00 (same size swap). Unless you have an AST Video Digitizer there is no reason to upgrade the board. To my knowledge the AST board is the _ONLY_ card on the market that uses DMA. Hope this answers your question.
