Hmmm seems I had the wrong path to info-apple before... anyway, here is a cut and paste version of 3 letters that I sent a week or so back...(or word disassociation..). If you have access to any Macintosh with the new system software and 800K drives, you can easily do ProDOS-HFS-MSDOS transfers with no problem at all. Apple released a program with their "system Software 5.0" that can read and write to HFS, ProDOS, and MS-DOS disks....AS LONG AS THEY ARE 3.5"S. I usually download all the macintosh software I can find using my GS and a 2400 baud modem connected to it, then bring it over to the Mac and put it onto the hard drive. And its FAST! The program also comes with some other great features (WP conversions, etc). This is kind of in reply to a message about computer info transfers.... Does anyone have any rumors/facts (or anything else!) they would like to share about the up and coming Apple IIGS(whatever)e or IIGS(whatever)+? Thanks again! I cannot remember who posted the message, but... You have to open the drive up, TURN IT OVER (so circut board is down), and find a small access hole in the bottom right quadrant (if the front is facing you). I don't have the tools to open mine right now, but I had to adjust one I had connected up to a Laser 128. (Mine are connected to a GS thru the Disk ][ controller card). You cannot actually SEE the adjustment screw through the hole, but its in there... DO NOT adjust the plastic screw on the top circut board...I have no idea what it does, but if it has that goop on it, the manufacturer probably wanted it to stay that way for a reason... oh...how many of you get those little diskettE flyers that MEI Micro Center sends out? I wouldn't mind them so much, but SIX of them spread out over two weeks is a bit much... (The drives I am talking about are the Bachelor drives) PROLINE: pro-charlotte!pro-novapple!bhoar UUCP: {ihnp4, cbosgd, sdcsvax, nosc}!crash!pro-charlotte!pro-novapple!bhoar ARPA: crash!pro-charlotte!pro-novapple!bhoar INET: pro-novapple!bhoar@pro-charlotte.cts.com pro-novapple :-> 1 703 352-5842 - 300/1200/2400 - 24 hrs *affix addage here* *affix addage here*
