I wonder if APPLE has any idea how much damage they've done by marketing their //'s with too little memory? I know of two types of APPLE// users. Those of us who upgraded the memory and love the machine and those who got disgusted and go t something else. It seems to be a case of talking out of both sides of the On the one hand, users are supposed to know to upgrade the memory and how to implement the added memory(no small task there, either). BTW this is the company that coined the phrase "plug and run". The worst cases are the numerou s labs all over the university here. Machines are purchased as is and left tha t way. The people who pay for them aren't the ones that use them. So we eend up with IBM's with 640K and a 10meg hard drive and //e's with 128(sometimes 64) and floppys. Is it any wonder that the users migrate to the IBM's. Now we have nice shiny IIGS's sitting all over the place that can't even run PRINT-SHOP because it requires 512 and apple ships with 256. Boy, I feel much better now.
