%%%%%%%%% I have an Apple II+ clone (cca 1983) and recently bought myself %%%%%%%%% a Roland PR-1012 printer which I found to be great value for the %%%%%%%%% price and a pleasure to use. It has graphic capability, special %%%%%%%%% character sets, etc. I became somewhat irritated when I found %%%%%%%%% that I could access only half the character sets, since my inter- %%%%%%%%% face (a Microtek Apple Dumpling, as I found out) was sending only %%%%%%%%% 7 bits to the printer. %%%%%%%%% %%%%%%%%% A new, 8-bit printer interface seemed to be the solution and I %%%%%%%%% bought the PROGRAPPLER at a price of about 40% the printer's. %%%%%%%%% The manual claims it will work with any Apple II, right up to %%%%%%%%% and including the GS. It seems to work fine under DOS (for the %%%%%%%%% first time, I could transfer my hi-res screen to paper) BUT... %%%%%%%%% it refuses to turn on with CP/M (incl. Wordstar). I followed %%%%%%%%% the instructions to the letter but the printer remains dead. %%%%%%%%% %%%%%%%%% ANY IDEAS ? (thx). %%%%%%%%% ||||||||| P.S.: PROGRAPPLER IS MADE BY ORANGE MICRO. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| *****************************************************************************
