After my communications software recently died, I've been either logging in directly (i.e., pr#3, in#2, get a$, goto) or using "Talk Is Cheap". However, every so often my //gs hangs up. If I hit reset, and RUN the BASIC program again, it somehow resets the serial port and everyhing comes back to life. This method does not work while capturing text... If anyone can shed some light onto this strange occurence, let me know. I'm using a rather odd external modem; no features to speak of. You push a button when the carrier comes on and it connects... nothing fancy. - Andy -- "Ever use vi in open mode?"
