I have to port some software from the IBM PC to the Apple // (//e, //c, //gs). The programs I'm porting are written in Turbo Pascal, and use some inline assembly code. What I need to know is what Pascal system should I use? It must allow assembly code, and must produce stand alone applications. Some people have recommended Apple Pascal to me. Does anybody know how much a licence for selling stand alone applications in Apple Pascal costs? Do you recommend a different system altogether? Thanks for your support.

i would recommend kyan pascal (prodos) for you since it allows inline assembly, as well as conditional assembly which might be handy for you. kyan also offers a optimizer to speed things up. have phun, -- Heiko Blume # DOMAIN: blume@netmbx.UUCP { BITNET: ( mixed } Seekorso 29 # BANG : ..!{backbone}!netmbx!blume D-1000 Berlin 22, West-Germany # Phone : (+49 30) 365 55 71 or ... 365 75 01 Telex : 183008 intro d # Fax : (+49 30) 882 50 65

The last time someone showed me Kyan Pascal (it WAS some time ago), it couldn't even correctly compile a CASE statement.. Is this product even -sold- any more? I haven't seen ads for it in ages. Inquiring minds want to know. -Russell Buyse. UUCP: {allegra,ihnp4,uiucdcs,ctvax}!convex!buyse
