[comp.sys.apple] AE's TRANSWARP as a RAMdisk? Answer: No.

The TransWarp manual, v1.1, states "Access to the Apple's RAM and ROM are
restricted to the Apple's clock rate of 1 MHz; therefore, on power-up,
TransWarp loads the Apple's ROM into its RAM, and uses the rest of its RAM
to emulate most of the Apple's main and auxilliary memory, running at
accelerated speed." (page 7).

In addition, "TransWarp does not use the memory cache-ing technique to
increase processing speed. All processing in main and auxillary memory is
accelerated." (page 7).

However, if TransWarp is used in a ][ or ][+, it can go into slot 0, where
it will serve as a language card as well as an accelerator. Furthermore,
TransWarp turns off a ][x's 6502, and replaces it with TransWarp's
65C02.
