Thank you for telling me that I probably don't like STAR TREK. Now I can stop
buying the novels, watching the re-runs, considering dropping $40 each for Beta
Hi-Fi copies of the first two movies and $1600 for the complete set of tv epi-
sodes when Paramount starts the Trek-of-the-Month Club. Boy, is *that* a relief!

Just because I don't call myself a Trekkie, or Trekker, or whatever you want to
call yourself, just because I don't buy TREK fanzines or go to TREK conventions,
and just because I don't believe that every single minute of TREK video is pure
gold doesn't mean that I don't like STAR TREK. Are your opinions engraved in
stone tablets so that anyone who doesn't agree with you "probably doesn't like
STAR TREK in the first place"?

Blow it out your ear!

I *wanted* to like THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK, a lot! I was looking forward to that
movie more than anything else this year. I didn't *dislike* it, but I was disap-
pointed, and if that doesn't suit you, tough!

And by the way, I *have* discussed my disappointmennt with the movie in net.-
startrek (in fact, my review and its followup went to sf-lovers, startrek, and
movies), and they haven't "roasted" me. Unlike you, they are willing to accept
differences of opinion.

{trust the farce Luke}

Wow! Rocket engines on full... Would you please send $24.95 to me to
replace the fire extinguisher, $2145.88 to replace my Apple //e, and
$62,000 to replace the house. Oh almost forgot, and how 'bout half
a mil for compensation to my widow... (she was severly hurt)

Don't worry about the rest of the city, I'm sure relatives of the
few who survived the nuclear holocost won't press charges.

Hey variety is the spice of life, and ever since STIII came out, all
I've read in net.sf-lovers and net.movies is put downs of the movie.
I might be alone but I like it. And after watching STII on HBO last
week I liked the third one even better. It filled in a lot of gaps
and also proved to be entertaining at the same time. I just think
its time the Star Trek stuff was moved to net.startrek, and let
net.movies get ready for 'Conan, Top Secret and the various other
new movies that are scheduled for release in the next few weeks'!
Sorry I pissed ya off, but lifes a bummer, and everyone's a critic.

Just remember, They can't do anything to ya until they catch ya.
