Gee, how could I have forgotten to mention the Where in the ... is Carmen San Diego series from Broderbund? Those programs are GREAT for kids Where in the World is Carmen San Diego Where in the USA is... and Where in Europe is... The programs teach geography (which Americans of all ages are embarrassingly poor at) in the guise of a detective game. Lots of facts, lots of problem solving, lots of fun. Another nice feature. The data disk is not copy protected so you can boot the program go to a data disk and then boot the program on another computer and use another data disk (I guess that's warping the shrink wrap agreement; to the best of my knowledge the law is not settled on the whether or not it would be "fair use," but I defintately would not call it pirating). --------------------- Disclaimer: The "look and feel" of this message is exclusively MINE!
