There ought to be an Apple Club in your vicinity. Usually they have LOTS of software. Even though the ][+ is a bit dated, I assume the donated one has 64K and an 80 column card. Hence it ought to be able to run a public domain word processor known as FredWriter. If you can get ahold of Apple II Kermit (even an old version), you can download FredWriter from Bitnet (it's in the APPLE2-L section of LISTSERV@BROWNVM along with the most recent release of Apple 2 Kermit). There are some shareware bbs programs, but they won't work on a II+. Commware that will work is available by mail order for $70 or so (compared to MS-DOS or Macintosh, Apple 2 software is inexpensive). --------------------- Disclaimer: The "look and feel" of this message is exclusively MINE!
