Now that I'm working on a VAX at work I really need an emulation program for my II+. I'm a college student though, and don't want to pay bookoo bucks for the program. Does anyone have an inexpensive alternative to create such a program? Are they available through public domain software?? Thanks in advance, Evan Davis send gmail Davise@byuvax

Are they available through public domain software?? assuming you have 80 cols already (this is a must, you cannot do emulation at 40col that I know of), there are a few programs that do decent emulation, the only 2 I can think of are AsciiExpress (which does vt52) and SofTerm. I was thinking about checking out Z-Link (the program by the guy at MIT), but I still have to bring it to a friends to get it into a working file (i'm stuck on a II+ still at home). The new version of Apple Kermit from Columbia University (i think) has vt100 emulation, but your 80 col card better support reverse scrolling or you wont get it (like my Videx clone wont). Emulation is dependant on the 80 col card you have, so you will probably end up shopping around for the "right" program to use. -- Bob Kusumoto | Follow me!
