From: Ron Newman <Newman.es@XEROX.ARPA>

On Saturday, July 7th at 7:15pm, the Los Angeles International Film
Exposition (Filmex) will show the documentary "Seventeen" at the Nuart
Theater, 11272 Santa Monica Blvd. in West LA.

This cinema verite film follows the lives of high school kids coming of
age in Muncie, Indiana, and was originally produced for PBS's
"Middletown" series.

As I described in a previous message to these lists, the film was never
televised, allegedly because of pressure from Xerox Corporation which
sponsored the series. It was supposed to be shown at Filmex last year
as part of their "Banned Film Series", but was again cancelled. Let's
hope it is really shown this time.

Admission is $5; advance tickets to this and all other Filmex showings
are available at the Filmex box office at the Four Star theater, 5112
Wilshire Blvd. Telephone orders (Visa/Mastercard only) are accepted
from noon to 5 weekdays at (213)520-2000.
