[comp.sys.apple] Hardware/Software Suggestions

RE: Laser 128

We have been using a Laser 128 in a laboratory application for about two
years now. It has been very reliable. We normally use it only with the
internal disk, but external Apple 5.25 disks and a mouse have worked fine.
We now have the expansion box connected with an Applied Enginering
Timemaster II H.O. clockcard in it. We thought this wouldn't work because
of interrupt problems, but it seems o.k.

Most Apple-compatible software seems to run.

Getting the Laser EX is probably more for you than the children. It will be
a few years, at least, before they need the speed and greater memory.

****DISCLAMER: My comments, etc., are my own shakey opinions ********
