I am having troubles understanding whether or not Kermit 3.82 (I know, I know...it's not an 'official' version) is for *ONLY* Dos3.3 users. Just when I think that maybe it can be processed for ProDOS I go to look at files 3 & 4 in the binaries and all I see are references to DOS3.3. So, what's the deal? What is the *VERY MOST UP TO DATE* version of *ProDOS* Kermit?? Reply to ERAST@PittVms.Bitnet ...................................... and I thankyou for your user-support.

Kermit 3.82 will work fine in ProDOS. You have to CREATE your binary copy of the program (and assorted serial driver EXEC's) under DOS 3.3. After you have the program all set in DOS 3.3, whip out Copy 2+ (or some incredibly slow Apple supplied utility) and copy KERMIT382 (a binary file) and KERMIT.INIT (a text file) to a ProDOS volume with BASIC.SYSTEM (Kermit uses Applesoft's "file hooks"). --------------------- Disclaimer: The "look and feel" of this message is exclusively MINE!
