Dear Joe Bob Briggs:
Driving up I-5 through Roseburg, Oregon, Joe Bob, and I see a drive-in
center of real culture. OK. But this one's pretty odd, Joe Bob, cause it has
both an indoor thee-ay-ter and the real screen out there with the posts in the
parking lot. Must be something to do with the rain and the fact that Oregon
rednecks are lumberjacks and not cowboys. Well, anyway, they have a mar-kee
out by the freeway posting their cultural selections if you know what I mean
and I'm sure you do, and it says:
INDOORS: KARATE KID
OUTDOORS: STAR TREK III
Joe Bob, say it ain't so! These people are so mixed up they got the
indoor bullstuff all mixed up with the real entertainment! This is just
another example of what can happen without eternal vigilance.
