On the question of Ultima V... Yes! It's out and I've got it!
It's wonderfull!!!!!! It makes IV look like an Atari 2600!!!!
(And you know how good IV was) It takes place on the same
contenant(sp) with the same topography. there are new roads and
bridges, but the rest is the same (more or less). All the towns are
bigger! I have the Apple // version and it comes on the front and
back of FOUR disks. The object is to resue Lord British. The leader
of Britania now is called Blackthorn (He's evil) and a lot of times
gaurds will demand tribute when you enter a town. Buy it! Pirateing
won't work with this game. You need the spell list (you won't guess it
like in IV) you need the command list... you need the map (Well sort of) you
definatly need the language section (Most of the signs aren't in english).

You should not steal ANYthing. However, several of these claims about
Ultima V are wrong. You would benefit from having the printed spell list,
but the commands are easy to determine (each is a letter of the alphabet,
and when you type the letter the command is filled out automatically),
the map merely saves some degree of mapping, but does not show the all-
important dungeons, Grendel's hut, etc., and the Runes are in English,
just using Tolkein-like symbols for the letters and a few dipthongs (EA,
NG, ST, TH). There is a segment involving music lessons for which having
the printed manual is essential.

Basically, if you want the developers of software like this to continue
to produce more and to keep it affordable, you should support them by
purchasing their products.
