The hole in the ribbon and jamming is not necessarily the Ribbon. This is a problem on both the ImageWriter II and DEC's LA75 printers that use the same mechanisim. One pin starts to sick and the moving ribbon jams on it. The Ribbons are a write off but check out your printer with on of your old ribbons to make sure you haven't developed a head Problem Grant

am not having any problems with any other ribbons that I've purchased from this vendor. I keep my printer clean and dust free. It's just this ribbon. BTW- remembered that the ribbons said something about them being NEC 7220... would this have anything to do with it??? Also- is my printer DEC LA-75 compatible??? please inform me.
