Anyone have any news to report on their successes or failures in using the AE Transporter and a hard disk in a IIGS? Are you satisfied with the results?

I use AE Transporter with a hard disk configuration. It works, but is one of the weaker links in the system. Current versions of ProDOS limit a single disk file to 16 MB, so the MS-DOS hard disk is limited to 16 MB. Given the manner in which AE set up their linkage into/around/out of ProDOS, it is awkward at best to defeat this limit (approach being to have multiple hard disks configured) because AE thought one would be sufficient.!?. Access times are reasonable, if that is your concern, given what conversions need be done for each access. New subject: my greater displeasure with Transporter comes from the fact that it cannot support modem speeds greater than 1200 bps. I currently do all of my modeming in native ProDOS-land, then move any files needed between the two operating systems (which is a trivial, but unnecessary, step). Cheers, Bud P.S., I run Transporter on a GS with 60 MB CMS hard disk and a 20 MB Apple SCSI hard disk. Hence, one can see that I really would like to have a bigger (or multiple) hard disk resource for Transporter.
