[net.movies] ET Dolls in Heat

Well, in all, the flames were pretty few and mild. We *did* ascertain
that the IQ of an ET doll in heat must be over 132, at least according to one
item of mail I received. :-)

No, I don't want to be Hitler of the Net, but really folks, I only sent
that diatribe after 65,536 reviews of Indiana Jones and Star Trek III. I don't
mind hearing about these, and certainly this net group *is* the place, BUT IF
YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO ADD TO THE DISCUSSION, I sincerely advise you to
SHUT UP! Nobody *CARES* that you, too, saw it!

As someone else pointed out, "Gremlins" appears to be the latest of this
series. Why is it that the movies that seem to get endless comment from the
sophomoric among us are the shallowest of offerings? I leave the answer as an
exercise for the reader.

Meanwhile, to show that I am not above trivia, did anyone else notice the
anachronistic reference to "nylons" in Goldie Hawn's "Swing Shift?" Did anyone
else enjoy this movie as much as I did?

P.S. - Perhaps I should be posting this to net.movies.snobs?

I don't think that's an anachronism. DuPont developed nylon in 1935.
