This message will be of interest to anyone thinking about attending the next AppleFest in San Fransisco, as an attendee or vendor. Here is a letter I got from AppleFest Conference Director Andrew Calkins which discloses the attendance figures for the last AppleFest in May. ---------- May 27, 1988 Dear AppleFest Speaker: The final figures are in, and they are impressive. AppleFest/Boston drew more than 21,000 paying attendees and a turnstile count of more than 30,000 over the course of its three days. That makes it without a doubt the single largest Apple home/school/home-business event ever. More importantly, the conference was an artistic and educational success, too, judging by the conference review forms we've received. And that, of course, is entirely due to your efforts. Seldom, if ever, have I worked with such a dedicated group group of speakers. You came prepared, you spoke well, and you handled the various equipment and building-related problems with grace and professionalism. On behalf of Cambridge Marketing, AppleFest, and all of our attendees at the show... thank you. I look forward to seeing you (and working with you) at future AppleFests -- perhaps as soon as this September 16-18 in San Fransisco. Again our thanks, and be well. Sincerely, Andrew Calkins Conference Director Cambridge Marketing, Inc.
