soemone asked: aztec does have a kind of vi, although i had to change it
a bit to have A(ppendToEOL and hjkl-cursors. it normally supports the //e
arrows.
a MAKE utility is not included with aztec-c but they seem to have one, at least
there is a makefile included in one of the .archives .
the good thing about aztec is that you get a unix-like shell with environment
variables and search paths for libs etc.
