TIC has supported sending the BREAK signal for at least several releases. This is documented in the user's guide. The user's guide also recommends teh the enhancement kit these days though this wasn't always in the docs. It's not surprising that a user without an enhanced //e wouldn't have any software that requires the enhancement kit. I don't buy any Mac software but I don't own a Mac therefore by your reasoning Mac software must be pretty rare right? I can't think of any reason why someone would not want to get the //e enhancement short of not being able to afford the $70 but to each his own.
