Someone, I believe it was Heiko Blume, was asking about Core wars. I bought a book recently which may be of general interest here. It's called The Armchair Universe bye A.K. DEWDNEY and is a compilations of articles from Scientific American. There are chapters on Mandlebrots, AI and yes, CORE WARS. It's publis hed by W.H. FREEMAN AND COMPANY.
