Hello netpeople,
I am looking for some help.
I want to use my IIe to connect to a mainframe and have it emulate a
Tektronix 4010 series terminal so I can view some plots I have
generated. I have AE Pro and other comm progs, and I even have a
tektronix emulator code (in BASIC) I typed in from BYTE that will
produce plots in regular high-res space, but I sure would like to be
able to use double-high res and not have to exit AE Pro to execute my
basic program to see the plots. So are there Tektronix emulator progs
out there which use double-high-res, and if not, where can I get
information on how to interface communication progs and my crude
emulator program.
Question 2, I want to buy a color monitor for my IIe, can anyone offer
advice on these three options and perhaps offer advice on specific brands:
1) buy a composite with 80-column support
2) buy an RGB and buy the RGB adapter card for my RAMWORKS III.
3) buy a dual function TV/monitor (are these any good ??) which I could
then watch when my wife insists on watching something 'icky' on the
other TV.
LIMITATIONS I don't want to spend more than $300. So maybe (2) is out.
Thanks so much, David Legler
