I know the general consensus on this network is that Bruce's last album, Nebraska, is thumbs down, but I happened to like it. I thought it was creative and a little gutsy and I enjoyed the album as a whole. I don't think that I am alone in my opinion because I am almost sure it was voted Best Album of 1984 by Rolling Stone Magazine. I also don't think Dancing in the Dark is all that bad. I am not jumping up and down with excitement over it but I'm still looking forward to the release of the album. I don't ever think it's fair to judge an album by one song. The assumption that the song released as a single is always the best one on the album is totally off base. I think alot of artists have one or two songs on an album aimed at the pop radio audience, and I see nothing wrong with that. I am still not convinced that Springsteen is losing it! Does anybody else share my sentiments? Let's not be so hard on him till we have the album. Carole Brooks ihuxl!brooks

It hacks me off when so called Springsteen fans complain when he trys to broaden his audience (i.e. make more money) by releasing a single. This doesn't mean he has lost his touch. I think that those "fans" are upset because they will now have to share the Boss with an ever wider group of fans. If you think Bruce is losing it, think again. You are the one who is stuck in a rut.
