With all of the interest in the StyleWare Buyout, I thought I would post some
excerpts from a conference I was at on GEnie. I believe that they keep
complete
transcripts available for downloading in case you want to find out more
information.

<[Kevin] STYLEWARE> I was StyleWare CEO and I now work for Claris. I think
the
biggest misconception about Claris is that they don't care about the II.
Well,
they do. And the StyleWare acquisition is proof of that. Does anyone have
any
questions about the acquisition or GSWorks (AppleWorks GS).
<[Tom W.] UNCLE-DOS> Kevin, you say you'll be in charge of AppleWorks too?
What's your title and what's that mean? Where will you take these dual
products?
<[Kevin] STYLEWARE> My title is Group Product Manager or Product Line Manager
for Apple II. Claris will continue to support both AWs with revisions.
<[jim] J.L.COFFEY> Claris' CEO was quoted in a Mac magazine as saying Claris
will NOT be introducing any new GS software. The gist of the interview was
that
Claris is a MAC company. StyleWare's acquisition not withstanding. Any
comments?
<[Kevin] STYLEWARE> Bill said that Claris would not be developing any II
stuff.
I think that that has changed, they acquired a 10 man Apple II development
team.
<[jim] J.L.COFFEY> I hope so. Good luck and thanks.
<[Kevin] STYLEWARE> Claris is a very new company and putting a GS development
team together would be impossible for them. They were waiting for an
acquisition that would give them a product and team that would be significant.
<[Kevin] STYLEWARE> No, I'm not in charge of AW yet. I know that we will have
revisions of both AWs in the future.
<[WALLY] W.SAPPJR> When are we going to be blessed with AWGS?
<[Kevin] STYLEWARE> October 1.
