TIC reads the clock via GET_TIME about once a second during most operations as it rewrites the status line. Since the time doesn't change that fast perhaps I could slow this down a bit. The //c serial ports are used for keyboard interrupts too oddly enough (quite a kludge) and adding a clock to it really complicates things I'm sure. Just to add to the fray, the company that made AE's clock went out of business and didn't leave AE with access to the source code or perhaps we'd be able to come up with more clues as to how the interference might be happening.
