Hello, A friend of mine has an Apple IIgs and an ImageWriter II. He recently got the 32k buffer board installed in his IW II, but it doesn't seem to make any difference -- the printer takes just as long, and it doesn't give the computer back any sooner. He's taken it to many local stores, all of whom seem to be brain-damaged or generally ignorant of what's going on (some (most?) didn't know that there was such an upgrade for the IW! Well, neither did I when you get right down to it, but then I don't sell them for a living.) So, do you have this setup? Have you gotten it to work? Was there any particular magic you had to do? Any software that absolutely won't work with it? Any quick ways (i.e., small applesoft programs) to test it to make sure it does work? I am posting this for a friend who doesn't have net access.
