I would be interested in more info on the Megaboard which allows PC hard disks on the apple. Regards, Allan

I have sent away for information on the mega-board. I will let you know what I find out. I do know that for 200 dollars it really is not a good buy, unless you have some ibm hard disks with power supplies just gathering dust. ---Mike Turner {uucp:ihnp4!convex!mturner} "imagination is more important than knowledge"--A. I have several friends who have ordered Megaboards from Perlin Electronics. The company itself (as expected) is extremely unprofessional. Theres one guy and an answering machine. He sends out to have the boards burned and then sends them out. In two totally seperate instances, its taken him over 2 months to fill a prepaid money order and a COD cash order. Thats certainly not professional. Its claims: yes, it works nicely with a ST506 hard drive. But if you have to go out and buy a NEW ST-506 IBM hard drive, a megaboard, and a power supply (not to mention a case for the whole thing) for a 20mb hard drive: $200 megaboard $250 20mb $50 power supply $50 case. here you have spent $550. Go buy a Chinook, Sider, or better yet a CMS. For a little more your getting a full, professional, reliable package (the megaboard has "6 months of support" - yeah, right...the guy is never there and almost never returns calls.
