I finally upgraded from ProDOS 1.0.2 to ProDOS 8 v1.4 (I've been out of the Apple // world for a while...)--my dealer gave me a disk marked "System Utilities 3.0" with the new version of ProDOS on it. The disk boots fine, the Fast Copy utility works great, but the System Utilities won't run at all. When I choose the system utilities from the menu, there is disk activity, then the screen clears, and several characters (all alphabetic) appear at odd locations (perhaps 8 or 10 characters in all) on the screen. Then the system hangs. Other means of running the utilities (using the "-" command, for example) have identical results. My system is an unenhanced, 128K Apple //e. Is this my problem? Or are the utilities intended for a //GS only? Thanks in advance...
